Eric Strafel was named Vice President of Strategy for Boeing Global Services in February 2020. In this position, Eric brings together strategic planning, market insights and technology trends to establish long-term objectives for business growth and transformation for Global Services.
Before his current position, Eric served on the Boeing Global Services Supply Chain leadership team as the Vice President of Supplier Management for Boeing Global Services. In this position, Eric had responsibility for the overall strategy, contracting and daily management of procurement matters as they relate to the products and services of Boeing Global Services.
Eric previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Distribution (BDI), the company formerly known as Aviall. Prior to BDI, Eric served as Vice President of Autonomous Systems for Boeing Military Aircraft within Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Eric formerly served BDI as Senior Vice President of Operations.
Prior to joining Boeing, Eric was Vice President of Supply Chain Management for L3 Communications, where he was responsible for supply chain activities including estimating, planning, material procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and component repair and overhaul services. Prior to L3, held various leadership and program management positions in engineering, supply chain, continuous improvement, and international business development at Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, and Precision Conversions.
Eric holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
