            Kent Fisher is chief financial officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, a unit of The Boeing Company that reported revenues of $32 billion in 2019.

            Fisher oversees the Finance and Business Operations organizations and is responsible for the financial management, strategic and long-range business planning and operations at the business unit. Fisher was named to the chief financial officer position in April 2020 and is based in Renton, Washington.

            Previously, Fisher was vice president of Corporate Development for The Boeing Company. Fisher led the enterprise group that handles large mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and strategic partnerships that further the company’s growth strategies.  During his three-year tenure leading that group, Boeing closed more than 18 transactions totaling more than $11 billion.

            Fisher previously served as vice president and general manager of Supplier Management at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Named to that position in September 2011, Fisher was responsible for the overall strategy, contracting, daily management and development of Commercial Airplanes’ supply chain. In this role, he directed annual spending of more than $40 billion to acquire more than a billion parts and assemblies for Boeing’s airplane manufacturing and commercial services.

            Fisher has held a variety of posts in 24 years with Boeing. Prior to leading Supplier Management, Fisher held positions in Supply Chain Strategy, New Airplane Business Development, Market Analysis, Air Traffic Management, Sales and Customer Financing.  

            Fisher joined Boeing after an eight-year career consulting on complex litigation matters and corporate reorganizations at Price Waterhouse in Los Angeles and Seattle.

            He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pomona College and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
