            Steve Parker is vice president and general manager, Boeing Vertical Lift, the division within the company’s Defense, Space & Security unit responsible for the AH-64 Apache, AH-6 Little Bird, H-47 Chinook, and MH-139 and SB>1 Defiant helicopters, as well as Boeing’s part of the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft.

            Parker leads more than 8,000 employees, and an international network of suppliers and partners, that are all focused on advancing rotorcraft technology to meet current and future needs around the globe. He is also the senior executive at the company’s Philadelphia site.

            Prior to this position, Parker was vice president and program manager of the T-7A Advanced Pilot Training program for the U.S. Air Force including advanced aircraft, ground based training systems and support. Before that he was vice president and program manager of the F-15 program, including all aspects of the F-15E Strike Eagle, F-15C/D Eagle, international derivatives and the F-15X advanced development effort. Earlier in his career he was vice president and program manager of Cargo Helicopters, managing Chinook efforts for the U.S. Army and Special Operations Command, including the CH-47F and MH-47G, as well for customers in nineteen countries.

            Parker’s three decades with Boeing have included an assignment as chief operating officer of Boeing Defence Australia, in which he managed daily operations of the company’s largest international subsidiary, and as vice president and general manager of the Network and Space Systems division.

            Parker has a master’s degree in project management from Queensland University of Technology and is a Certified Practicing Project Director. He is a member of the Army Aviation Association of America, Association of the United States Army, Night Stalker Association and the Air Force Association.
